ABOUT ME
My name is Emmanuelle (friends and collaborators usually call me Ema). I'm a France-based full-time model with a background in both photography and modeling. Modeling has been my passion for 10 years and my full-time work for 3 years.
I’ve posed for more than thausend of photographers in dozens of countries, across a wide range of styles, from fashion to fine art nude and from editorial to lingerie. I love to adapt myself to each artistic universe I step into. It's not just a job, it's a creative exchange and a genuine pleasure every time.
My experience on both sides of the lens gives me a deep sensitivity to composition, storytelling, and light. Dance and music have been with me since childhood. They’ve shaped the way I move, feel, and express. These lifelong artistic roots help me embody movement and emotion, bringing depth, nuance, and presence to the creative process. My modeling is about connection : as much with the artist, as with the space, the emotion, and the intention behind the frame.
MY LOOK
My hair is naturally brown, with a few cute white strands :·) I don’t dye my hair, and it’s a conscious choice. The pressure to stay forever young is one of the many oppressions women face. This toxic and sexist expectation is perpetuated by the media and visual industries, leading women to aspire to a false, heavily retouched, and ultimately unattainable physique, while reinforcing in men a sense of entitlement to expect certain beauty standards from women. I don’t want to be part of that.
I have a fair skin tone, a natural face, and a curved body (bust 87 - waist 75 cm - hips 95). No tattoos, no piercings, no implants. I’m often told I have a unique energy that can range from soft to sensual, bold, raw, powerful, or gentle depending on what the image needs.
Note that recently, I’ve also started growing underarm hair. This physical change is connected to what I mentioned earlier about the pressures of standardized, subjective beauty norms.
I am aware of the privileges that come with being a white woman with what is considered “average” measurements. For me, growing my hair is a way to represent a minority and to gently challenge the restrictive norms imposed on bodies and appearances.
I’ve been told that I might lose jobs because of this choice. That may be true. However, what matters most to me is staying aligned with my values, my artistic vision, and the message I want to convey through my work.
Modeling is my profession and how I make a living. Economic stability is a necessity within the society we live in. But I do not see my role as simply producing images. As a model, I participate in shaping representations that feed the collective imagination. Beyond income, this work is a space of expression and cultural influence. The financial dimension sustains me materially, but what truly gives my work meaning is the cultural dimension. I feel deeply fulfilled when I can contribute to shifting perspectives and, even modestly, to building cultural capital.
WORKING WITH ME
Let’s see if this resonates with your way of working. If we’re aligned, I’d be thrilled to create together!
I see modeling as a form of living sculpture. A way to give shape to emotions, silences, tensions, or tenderness. I don’t like to fake: I inhabit. I bring 100% of myself into the frame, and I love exploring a wide range of emotions, atmospheres, energies.
I respond strongly to music, rhythm, and the emotional vibe of the shoot.
No direction needed, but I’m always happy to receive it.
I work with photographers of all skill levels and styles, with kindness, clarity and curiosity.
My highly sensitive nature allows me to express a wide range of emotional nuances. The downside is that I’m also very sensitive to the energy of the people I work and interact with. I can shut down and lose my expressiveness if there are sexist, fatphobic, racist, or degrading remarks toward other models or photographers, or if boundaries are not respected, consent is not asked for, or inappropriate behavior occurs.
With a background in human and social sciences, including linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and verbal/nonverbal interaction, I value clear communication and mutual respect on set. I believe interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence are essential to any meaningful creative process.
I’m happy to bring my strong professional skills in interpersonal communication and emotional awareness to help create a safe, relaxed atmosphere on set. Building trust and facilitating healthy interactions are an important part of how I work, especially with kind photographers who may be shy or find social interactions challenging. You can count on me to contribute positively in this area.
That said, when it comes to truly problematic behaviors, not shyness, but disrespect, I have zero tolerance. Disregarding boundaries or consent is absolutely unacceptable. I have no difficulty setting clear limits and ensuring they are respected.
I’m sharing this not to boast, but to set clear expectations and protect my mental well-being. My academic background and professional experience have given me a strong awareness of gender dynamics, and most of my collaborations are with men, so I’m very familiar with how these dynamics play out in real working environments.
That being said, if photography is being used as a way to act out personal fantasies under the cover of an “artistic process,” please don’t book me. I’m not the right model for that kind of approach. I will not allow myself to be objectified, sexualized, or fetishized, regardless of financial considerations.
I aspire to work with photographers who aim to convey a message, a concept, or an emotion through their work. Many of them are men, and what I value most is their ability to clearly separate genuine artistic intention from personal desires. They understand how to maintain professional boundaries and keep personal aspects outside of collaborative work, ensuring a respectful and focused creative environment.
What I bring to every shoot: versatility, groundedness, and an intuitive presence that gives space for creativity to flow.
I care as deeply about the process as I do about the outcome, because I believe good art is born from human connection and trust.
Whether you’re working on a dreamy, surreal vision or something minimal and raw, whether you know exactly where you’re headed or are still finding your way as a photographer, I adapt, while never losing the essence of who I am.
